About the App

Clover Club is a retro-themed cocktail app designed to help you make better drinks at home using your own virtual bartender named Otto.

Otto helps you craft cocktails based on your taste, your mood, and what’s already in your home bar. Whether you’re after a classic, a twist, or something totally original, just tell Otto what you’re working with, and you’ll get a recipe that fits.

What you can do with Clover Club:

  • Chat with Otto to get personalized cocktail ideas

  • Get smart suggestions based on your ingredients and preferences

  • Tweak recipes together — sweeter, stronger, spirit swaps, and more

  • Save your favorite drinks to your personal bar book

Product & Development

After earning his bachelor of arts degree at Berklee College of Music, Luke naturally jumped straight into fine dining, where he became a Certified Sommelier and captain at L’Espalier in Boston.

From there, he transitioned to the tech world selling bar management software to restaurants at BevSpot (where he and Chris met) and went on to lead a 30-person sales team with the CEO.

He then discovered his technical side, and got into software development, consulting for a handful of emerging startups while starting two of his own, for the music and scholastic tutoring industries.

Go-To-Market

Chris spent years in the hospitality industry managing food and beverage programs at restaurants, hotels and resorts from Nashville to Boston.

After an epiphany during a five-month European backpacking adventure with his wife, he got out of the industry and spent the past eight years in B2B software marketing to help grow some of Boston’s most successful startups, including BevSpot, a food and beverage management software company.

He’s since gone on to create the world’s only home bartending competition, the Home Bar Awards, which has grown to over 40k followers.
